Adrian Perdyan, M.D., a doctoral student from the International Research Agenda 3P- Medicine Laboratory of the Medical University of Gdańsk, is the winner of this year’s edition of the Fulbright Junior Research Award program. The scientist was among the 14 winners selected from 66 young researchers who took part in the competition. As part of the awarded scholarship, the student will complete an internship abroad combined with the implementation of research work.
– I will carry out my project at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston – says Adrian Perdyan, M.D. – It’s the best oncology centre in the world. The aim of the project will be to characterize the immune cells found in the microenvironment of pancreatic cancer.
The Fulbright Program is the largest scientific and cultural exchange program in the United States. It is recognized as one of the most prestigious exchange programs in the world, with a reputation that extends far beyond academia. Fulbright Junior Research Award are scholarships for people preparing a doctoral dissertation at Polish scientific institutions. The purpose of the scholarship is to carry out your own research project at an American university, non-profit research institute or non-governmental organization in the USA, related to the subject of the doctoral dissertation being prepared.
